How I scored an interview with the Motion Team at Apple.

Fitness tracking is an active part of my life. It started in 2015 when I was given my first Fitbit and I haven’ t looked back since. Since 2017, when I took my Mobile Health Sensing in college I have always wanted to make my life more meaningful and work in health tech.

Unfortunately for me, I had been applying to FitBit, Apple, Strava since 2017 and never heard back. But recently, I feel things changed a bit, I applied to STRAVA and head back for an interview and you won’t believe it. I was able to score an interview with the Apple Motion Sensing Team.

Yes, I did apply online through their portal without any success at the beginning of the year, but I was only recently able to materialize it.

On March 3 2022, I was as usual scrolling through LinkedIn until I came across a job posting by a Hiring Manager (Yann), and it was all I was ever so passively looking for. So, I took a leap of faith commented on his post that I was interested and messaged him.

But, I knew that his LinkedIn would have been spammed at this point. (I assumed this because mine is and I am not even hiring). So, I quickly scanned my brain on how could I get Yann to notice me. A few seconds later, I thought about wait how about I find him on twitter and if his profile is open I can shoot my shot there.
