The argument makes a conclusion that as people rely more and more of technology to solve problems, the ability for humans to think for themselves deteriorates. In my opinion, this is an overstated conclusion and I will support my stand with the three examples.

To begin, a conspicuous technology often blames for deteriorating our intellectual ability is the calculators. In the United States, students adopt to using a calculator in middle school while in the east the calculator only comes in the picture in college. If we compared the quant score of United States and India, US has a lower quant score on the standardized tests. While the results might insinuate that Indian students are ‘smarter’ because they are not using calculators, it not case when we look at the bigger picture. America outstrips India in innovation, because the American school system prioritizes concepts over rote-learning.
